STUDY MISSION ABROAD

EXPLORE, LEARN, AND GET INSPIRED BY INTERNATIONAL MODELS

The RQRA organizes annual study missions to allow its member residences to discover best practices in senior housing and management.

OUR INTERNATIONAL MISSIONS

IN SINGAPORE

After Switzerland last April and Japan in 2024, the RQRA is offering a new study mission in Singapore, from April 18 to 25, 2026.

This professional trip will allow you to explore the principles of active aging and innovation promoted in Singapore. Discover a multi‑ethnic society whose national care model draws lessons from Western countries.

Like Québec, this city‑state faces an accelerated aging of its population: by 2030, people aged 65 and over will represent nearly 1 in 4 individuals.

CONFIRM YOUR PARTICIPATION IN 2 STEPS :

IN SWITZERLAND

After exploring the Netherlands in 2023 and Japan in 2024, a delegation of 26 members and partners headed to Switzerland from April 6 to 12, 2025!

This experience allowed participants to immerse themselves in Swiss practices, recognized worldwide for their excellence. They had the opportunity to discover different models of senior management and housing in a society that, like Québec, is facing unprecedented population aging. Switzerland also stands out for its strong similarities with Québec’s reality, particularly in its approach to seniors’ residences.

IN JAPAN

In November 2023, our members explored the Netherlands (see below), marking the end of an exciting mission. 100% of participants found the mission informative, and we are pleased to share that the satisfaction rate exceeded 90%!

For those who wish to relive the highlights of the previous mission, the video and report are available below.

During this mission, RQRA members had the privilege of visiting renowned Japanese facilities, attending conferences led by local experts, and exchanging ideas with professionals in the sector.

IN THE NETHERLANDS

The study mission to the Netherlands in November 2023 was a great success for the RQRA delegation, composed of about twenty managers and representatives from RPAs.

This trip offered much more than an exploration of Dutch senior‑care management and housing practices; it was a transformative immersion into excellence and innovation. A survey conducted following the study mission revealed that 100% of participants found the mission informative, while the satisfaction rate reached 90%.
