Mr. Hugo Boucher is President of Immo 1ère, a family business that has specialized in real estate since 1991. Immo 1ère owns and manages 10 seniors' residences as well as numerous multi-residential and commercial buildings.
With over 400 passionate employees, Mr. Boucher manages the group's operations, financing and development. Passionate about real estate, Mr. Boucher and his team strive to offer living environments that meet their customers' expectations. Mr. Boucher holds two bachelor's degrees from the Université du Québec à Montréal, in accounting and history.
Dr. Guy Tremblay is President and CEO of LOKIA Group, owner and manager of seniors' residences in Quebec and New Brunswick. Originally from Alma, he studied medicine and specialized in ENT surgery at Université Laval in Quebec City. He subsequently developed a French-language service offering in northern New Brunswick, and has been involved in medical team management as department head, chair of the medical board and member of the board of directors of the Chaleur Régional Hospital.
Exposed by his medical practice to the care needs of seniors, he founded the LOKIA Group in 2002 to offer quality accommodation and services to retirees. Today, nearly 2,400 seniors and 1,000 employees share their daily lives under one of the 14 LOKIA branches.
Benjamin Demelin has nearly 13 years' experience at COGIR Immobilier, where he has progressed from Human Resources Manager and Residential General Manager to Regional Manager, a position he has held for the past five years. Currently, he oversees the operational management of several residences in Quebec and Ontario, while playing an essential role in the start-up of new residences under construction.
With a bachelor's degree in kinesiology and a master's degree in human resources with a specialization in occupational health and safety, Mr. Demelin applies his skills to contribute to the quality of life of residents and staff at COGIR residences. His career path reflects his ongoing commitment to the company.
Katarina Marcil represents the 3rd generation of the Savoie family, owners and managers of all Résidences Soleil properties, a pioneering group in our industry. Having been a member of RQRA's Board of Directors for the past five years, Ms. Marcil is now Vice-President, Customer Experience. Driven by a love of people in their golden years, she oversees operations, management, marketing and customer experience.
Born in the very first Résidences Soleil, Ms. Marcil has over 30 years' experience in the field, having had the privilege of living, growing and thriving there, while pursuing studies in business administration and a specialization in marketing. Supported by two exceptional mentors and pioneers, Mr. Eddy Savoie and Ms. Nataly Savoie, over the years Ms. Marcil had the opportunity to work in all departments of the company, acquiring unique operational experience before reaching her current responsibilities.
The fully-integrated, privately-owned Groupe Savoie designs, builds, manages, operates, owns and self-finances all its residences. The Résidences Soleil family is one of the jewels in Quebec's crown, with nearly 7,000 residents and 2,000 employees across the province.

Sébastien Chartier holds the position of Senior Director, Operations and Sales for Chartwell Residences since 2022. Since 2008, Sébastien has demonstrated his strong management skills as General Manager of several seniors' residences and CHSLDs.
Starting in 2018, he made his mark as Regional Sales Director and subsequently as Regional Operations Director. A 2002 graduate of ITHQ in institutional cooking, over the years he has built high-performance, committed teams committed to the well-being of seniors. He is known for his strong sense of communication and collaboration, and for his ability to find creative solutions.
Jonathan Bélanger is an engineer passionate about technology and innovation in healthcare. After completing a bachelor's degree in automated production engineering and a short master's in administration, he began his career as an engineer in the aerospace sector at Pratt & Whitney Canada, before turning to the senior living industry.
In 2016, he took over the family business, Villa Ste-Rose, a residence specializing in the care of seniors with advanced loss of autonomy. Today, Villa Ste-Rose has 110 employees dedicated to the well-being of its 110 residents. In 2023, Jonathan founded the VSR Innovation Lab, the living lab of Villa Ste-Rose, with the goal of providing researchers and AgeTech startups with easy and rapid access to a real care environment, allowing them to test and demonstrate the potential of their technologies under real-world conditions.
A member of the RQRA Board of Directors since 2017, he actively contributes to discussions on the future of the senior residence network and the transformation of the sector through innovation.
Mr. Sébastien Gauthier has been president of the Résidences des Bâtisseurs group since 2019. The regionally-based company has 25 residences, 1,547 employees and more than 6,000 units.
Before joining the Résidences des Bâtisseurs group, he worked for some twenty years in finance at major Quebec institutions. From the outset, his leadership, management and negotiating skills enabled him to share his ambitions and strengthen the company's position in the province. Under his leadership, the group has more than doubled the number of its residences, while maintaining its positioning and vocation to offer inspiring environments throughout Quebec.
He is particularly proud of having developed a solid corporate culture based on the values of Les Bâtisseurs, advocating the well-being of residents and employees while confirming the commitment of the teams and the quality of the services offered.
Sébastien Buisson is Vice President of Innovation and Operations and General Manager of Habitations Bordeleau, a family-owned business established in Saint-Charles-Borromée for nearly 25 years. The organization includes over 915 housing units, six residences (soon to be seven), and more than 350 employees, offering seniors safe, evolving, and deeply human living environments.
A trained nurse, Sébastien holds a multidisciplinary bachelor's degree and a master's in organizational development from Université Laval. After nearly 15 years in the healthcare network, where he held clinical and organizational management roles, he joined Habitations Bordeleau to help transform the senior living experience in Quebec.
He led the creation of the first gerontechnology lab in a senior residence in Canada, which has welcomed international delegations, and guided the organization to win the RQRA Innovation Award in 2023. Actively involved in his community, he serves on the boards of the Centre culturel Desjardins, the Fondation Famille Bordeleau, and the RQRA, with a clear vision: to enable seniors to age with dignity, surrounded by care and recognition.

With a post-graduate degree in business law and over 10 years' experience as a lawyer, Emmanuelle stands out for her results-oriented approach, customer satisfaction and human qualities. As legal counsel with Groupe Maurice for over 5 years, Emmanuelle is passionate about the day-to-day operational management of the company.
Recognized for her ability to propose simple solutions tailored to corporate strategies, while keeping in mind the interests of all stakeholders. A member of the Canadian Bar Association, Seniors' Section, Emmanuelle is committed to promoting the cause of seniors and their well-being within society.
She has joined the RQRA Board of Directors and has become more involved in government issues as part of her duties at Groupe Maurice.
Sonia Morin is co-owner of Les Quartiers A residence in the Chaudière-Appalaches region. The 38-unit residence specializes in care for cognitively impaired and less autonomous seniors. Sonia Morin trained as a clinical nurse and holds a master's degree in public administration. She worked for 18 years in the public health network, including 15 years as a manager.
She has always worked in seniors' services, whether in CHSLDs or homecare. Ms. Morin also spent two years on the Board of Directors of L'Appui pour proches aidants de Chaudière-Appalaches.
A clinical nurse since 2013, Véronique Lévesque currently holds the position of Vice President, Operations for Groupe Vitae. The group currently owns four seniors' residences in the Quebec City area, providing care for a clientele with cognitive and physical loss of autonomy. A fifth residence of nearly 100 units has opened in late 2023.
Véronique Lévesque has been a member of the Comité des infirmiers(ères) du CHU de Québec (voting member), the Ordre régional des infirmiers(ères) de Québec (training section) and the Comité des infirmiers(ères) de salle d'opération du Québec (treasurer). She joined the RQRA Board of Directors in November 2023.
David Alain has been President of Villa St-George in Victoriaville, Centre-du-Québec, a 312-unit progressive residence including 100 units in light physical and cognitive care, since 2013. With a bachelor's degree in administration, majoring in accounting and human resources, from HEC (Université de Montréal), his professional career has focused on management over the past 30 years. He is an “entrepreneur”, fuelled by the various challenges he has faced over the years.
Considering the evolving nature of the services offered at Villa St-Georges, Mr. Alain hopes to be able to offer a viewpoint representing all the challenges and issues of the worrying reality currently facing the seniors' residences field.
