Creation of the Quebec Alliance of Living Environments – Six Major Housing Associations Unite in the Face of the Urgency of the Situation

MONTREAL, March 20, 2025 /CNW/ – In the context of an aging population, Quebec is facing an unprecedented crisis in senior housing and care. Six major associations in the sector are joining forces to create the Quebec Alliance of Living Environments for Seniors (AQMVA).

This unprecedented coalition is making a call to the government and to all of Quebec’s society: urgent, concrete action is needed to ensure the dignity of seniors in Quebec. The rapid aging of Quebec’s population is highlighting the flaws of a system already under pressure, and the status quo is no longer an option: decision-makers must act without delay.
